How are campaigns verified?

Campaign creators verify their identity before receiving funds. AI-powered moderation flags suspicious activity.

Campaign creators verify their identity before they can withdraw funds.

We use a multi-layer verification system to build trust and prevent fraud:

Identity Verification

Before campaign creators can receive funds:

  1. Email verification — confirm account ownership
  2. Phone verification — additional identity confirmation
  3. Stripe Connect — bank account and identity verification through Stripe
  4. Document verification — ID verification for higher withdrawal limits

Verified campaigns display a verification badge.

AI-Powered Moderation

Our systems automatically review campaigns for:

  • Suspicious content — misleading claims or prohibited categories
  • Duplicate campaigns — same cause appearing multiple times
  • Fraud patterns — behavior matching known fraud indicators
  • Policy violations — content that violates our terms

Flagged campaigns are reviewed by our team before going live or continuing to accept funds.

Community Reporting

Anyone can report a campaign they believe violates our policies:

  • Reports are reviewed within 24-48 hours
  • Verified issues result in campaign suspension
  • Serious violations may result in permanent bans

Payment Protection

All payments are processed through Stripe:

  • Bank-level security — encrypted transactions
  • Fraud detection — Stripe's built-in fraud prevention
  • Dispute handling — chargeback protection for buyers

What We Don't Verify

We verify identity, not outcomes. We can confirm that a person is who they claim to be, but we cannot guarantee:

  • How funds will be used
  • That stated goals will be achieved
  • The accuracy of all claims in campaign descriptions

Use your judgment. Check campaign creator profiles. Look for verification badges.
